Jimmy’s sad secret is haunting ahead of legend’s devastating Emmerdale exit

Things are looking sad for Jimmy King (Nick Miles) ahead of his Emmerdale demise.
His life is crumbling around him and he’s having to watch it crash and burn.
First; his marriage. Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) recently told him she thought their romance was stale.
For a brief moment, this spurred him into action and he arranged a date, but that was a damp squib when he took her to the Woolpack. He tried to claw things back with a jewellery gift, but that just saw him accused of cheating.
Now the pair are talking about a vow renewal, and it seems like things might be back on track, but that’s when the financial worries kick in and Jimmy starts keeping secrets.

He was unknowingly done over by Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) when she paid Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) to intercept one of Jimmy’s haulage shipments. The loss of the haul threw Jimmy into financial dire straits, and he was forced to sell his half of the haulage company. The Milligans do not fight fair in business.
For a while, they got away with this, but Jimmy comes to learn exactly who was behind him losing his business, and he is enraged at the betrayal. He’s also too ashamed to tell Nicola what’s happened, knowing she’d probably leave him.
Seeing Jimmy’s rage, Ruby and Caleb (William Ash) offer him a sweetener to keep him quiet. For Ruby, it’s just another day’s work, but Caleb is feeling the guilt.

Jimmy is left crestfallen. His business meant everything to him. Life has been kicking him in the teeth lately, and his business was the one thing that was his.
Bob (Tony Audenshaw) finds Jimmy looking down and does his best to try and raise his spirits. But there’s no cheering up a glum Jimmy.
With his death just around the corner, it’s guaranteed that there’s no chance of Jimmy’s luck improving. But how does he go, is it at the hands of a wife who finds out yet another lie?
