Emmerdale DS Ramsden’s real identity ‘unveiled’ and she’s related to soap legend
DS Ramsden has got plenty of Emmerdale fans suspicious
Fans of Emmerdale have ‘rumbled’ DS Ramsden’s true identity.
Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) made her soap debut this month as the police officer investigating the death of Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker).
Evil Caitlin – who both sexually assaulted and blackmailed Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) – was accidentally killed by Charity’s granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). Charity has since taken the blame and an investigation is now underway, with DS Thea Ramsden left convinced Charity is lying.
This week though, it was revealed that Thea has a connection to fellow newcomer Serena (Casey Al-Shaqsy). What’s more, it was also confirmed that Thea has some sort of vendetta against Kim Tate (Claire King), and is trying to bring her down, with the help of Serena.
And in Tuesday’s episode (August 18), Thea snuck into Home Farm to try and find some dirt on Kim. And now, with more drama and secrets likely to come, fans have ‘worked out’ that Thea is related to a soap legend, in what would be a huge twist.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers suspect she could be the daughter of Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) who is returning to the soap soon.
“DS Ramsden could be Sadie’s daughter!!” declared one person. Someone else added: “That’s what I’m beginning to think??” A third chimed in: “I thought that.”
Sadie’s Emmerdale return is looming, and speaking to the press at a recent event, Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw teased her return. She said: “It’s Sadie King. I feel like, of course she’s got an agenda… What I can say is the reason that Sadie comes back and the secret she comes back with is gonna be absolutely shocking.
And whether all is quite as it seems, we shall see as the story progresses, but it’s gonna be pretty big and pretty shocking.”
