Emmerdale enthusiasts have been thrilled by Graham Foster’s comeback after six years away.
Earlier this month, the Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover special, Corriedale, dropped a bombshell – Graham, believed d.e.a.d since 2020, was actually alive and thriving.
Graham was spotted behind the wheel of a van with an unknown woman in the rear, later identified as Jodie Ramsay – Shona Platt’s long-lost sister from Corrie.
The revelation stunned soap devotees, as Graham, who served as legal guardian and father figure to Joe Tate from his 2017 debut, seemingly met his demise at Pierce Harris’ hands in 2020.
Graham had recently embarked on a romance with Rhona Goskirk, and Pierce, Rhona’s rapist former husband, had been released from custody merely a week prior to Graham’s apparent d.e.a.t.h.

However, the Corriedale episode disclosed that Graham had survived and been living under the radar for years.
Discussing his comeback, Graham actor Andrew Scarborough remarked on the shock of his ITV soap return: “Yes, a complete surprise. Very much so.
“I never expected it at all. Although saying that I did think that Graham always had a possibility of coming back.”

Speaking about concealing his return from loved ones, Andrew, 52, revealed: “Oh yes it’s been a big secret and I kept it mostly quiet from my family, which was tricky.”
He revealed the select few he informed, stating: “Oh yes just a limited few certainly it is on one hand, in fact I had some cousins who contacted me after it was shown, saying you sod.”
Among Andrew’s family members is his sister, Victoria Scarborough, a renowned actress in her own right.
Victoria, 59, is recognised for her portrayal of Ruth Bannerman in The Grand in 1998, Betty MacFell in The Cinder Path in 1994, and Claire Monceau in Charlotte Gray in 2001. Over the years, she has also made appearances in The Royal, Holby City, and Heartbeat.
It seems that Victoria has since ventured into writing and directing, with short films such as Hysteria in 2022 and Speed Date in 2019 to her credit.
