Emmerdale spoilers have revealed what Dr Todd has planned for Jacob Sugden after discovering he reported her to HR.
The villainous doctor (Caroline Harker) has been making medical student Jacob’s (Joe-Warren Plant) working life utterly miserable in recent weeks. Beyond pushing him to breaking point, she has been gaslighting him and highlighting his errors.
More recently, she made disturbing references to the abuse Jacob endured from Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) several years ago. Deciding he had reached his limit, this week Jacob chose to lodge a formal complaint with Dr Todd’s employers.
He approached HR, detailing how she had been bullying him and it was having a damaging effect on his well-being. And in Tuesday’s episode (April 21) after the meeting, Dr Todd attempted to corner Jacob to question him about the session.
Having grown tired of her intimidating conduct, and after discovering Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) had given birth in a hospital lift, Jacob finally confronted Dr Todd face-to-face before attempting to locate Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), reports the Daily Star.

Thankfully, Sarah and Jacob’s baby was delivered safely, though matters took a deeply concerning turn when Charity was left battling for her life after suffering significant blood loss. Dr Todd then intervened to assist Charity, rushing her away, leaving her condition uncertain.
And while Jacob will undoubtedly be thankful for Dr Todd’s assistance, spoilers have confirmed she is set to continue her appalling behaviour next week. In Thursday’s episode (April 30), Jacob is feeling increasingly uncomfortable with Dr Todd’s constant presence. Later, Vanessa, Dr Todd, and Manpreet find themselves bonding in the pub when Mary proposes a doubles darts match, pairing Todd and Vanessa on the same team.

As the game gets under way, Vanessa remains completely unaware of Todd’s flirtatious behaviour. Todd then seizes the moment to plant a series of falsehoods about Jacob. The following day, Todd persists with her subtle campaign to undermine people’s perceptions of Jacob.
This comes as Dr Todd actress Caroline revealed earlier this year about her storyline: “I’m delighted to be back at Emmerdale for a longer stint playing Doctor Todd. She’s a complex character and from what I’ve been told so far, quite a tricky one for Jacob to navigate.
“Workplace bullying is commonplace, and it will be interesting to see it brought to our screens in a serial drama such as Emmerdale.”
