BBC One is treating viewers to a nostalgic trip with repeats of Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise season 10, featuring Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker.
The tenth series also sees the return of some beloved characters such as DS Florence Cassell, played by Josephine Jobert, and Sergeant JP Hooper, portrayed by Tobi Bakare.
One character that fans continue to pine for is Marlon Pryce, brought to life by Tahj Miles. Marlon joined the team through a reform programme aimed at rehabilitating petty criminals.
Under JP’s guidance, Marlon became increasingly dedicated to his new role in law enforcement. However, he made his exit in season 13 when his sister won a scholarship in Jamaica.
Marlon’s departure saw him embarking on a new chapter with the Jamaican police force, thanks to JP’s support. Here’s what you need to know about why he left the show.

Tahj Miles departed from the series as it took a natural narrative turn, and he was eager to explore fresh opportunities.
His exit was amicable, and he soon secured a part in the BBC’s Mr Loverman. Speaking to Radio Times, he shared his initial apprehension about the transition.
He said: “When I booked the job, it was just a good feeling to know that I can book something else other than Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise.
“But then it was nerve-wracking because I’ve just been in the head of Marlon for four years, so to jump into a whole different character who has his whole different problems and things he has to go through, it was scary.”
He pledged that the door would remain ajar for his character’s potential return, explaining his departure by stating: “Just know that on my end, [the exit] made sense to me.

“And if you don’t see me on the show for the next two, three years, just know that it doesn’t make sense in that moment in time, for whatever reason, whether it’s just what I’m doing personally in my life, the direction they’re going in on the show, the direction they want to bring the character back into.”
Viewers flocked to Reddit to voice their opinions on his sudden departure, with Specific-Dealer-1547 lamenting: “I still can’t get over the fact Marlon is gone. He was definitely my favourite character and I feel like it was very sudden how he made that decision to leave.
“Such a shame, he was such a good character, especially with his development into becoming a really good, hardworking police officer.”
Whatever-and-breathe chimed in: “Yes agreed I really liked this character… And is exit was really sudden too particularly when the writers were clearly hinting to a potential relationship for him.”
