The Emmerdale village will never be the same again after two shocking deaths. Just last week, Jimmy King was tragically killed off after he crashed his car into Joe Tate and Dawn Taylor’s wedding marquee. However, the drama didn’t end there as the marquee then exploded, leaving more lives in danger.
On Friday, it was revealed that Joe and Dawn had survived the blast, where they were both rushed to hospital. As a result of the explosion and crash, Dawn ended up giving birth months earlier than planned and she welcomed a baby boy.
On Sunday’s episode, Dawn and Joe gushed over their newborn before sharing plans for the future. After a midwife asked if she could look over Dawn, Joe asked her to give them five more minutes with their son.

The duo then returned to Dawn’s hospital bed, where they shared their love for one another and even recited wedding vows to each other after their big day was ruined.
Joe then went to fetch Dawn some water where neither of them realised she was slowly bleeding out. However, upon fetching some water, Joe collapsed before waking up and he decided not to tell any medical professionals what had happened.
As he returned to Dawn’s room, he realised she had tragically died and despite medical staff desperately trying to bring her back, nothing could be done. Dawn’s cause of death was confirmed as a hemorrhage, which as a result, had caused her heart to stop.

Just as Joe was dealt the devastating news, Kim Tate and Graham Foster showed up without realising what had happened. At the same time, Billy Fletcher showed up wanting to talk to Dawn, where Graham warned him off and revealed Dawn had died.
As news got back to the village with the villagers grieving yet another death, some soap watchers are concerned there could be a third death on the way.
Viewers are worried that due to Joe collapsing before Dawn died, and the fact he didn’t tell any medical professional what had happened to him, he could have more serious injuries than he thought.

Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Joe needs to get checked over. He also isn’t ok #Emmerdale!” with another soap watcher adding: “if Joe dies i will not be watching anymore @emmerdale #emmerdale.”
A different account wrote: “So you’re telling me joe was just passed out in the middle of the hospital corridor and no one saw him #emmerdale.”
While another fan added: “When Joe first arrived at hospital did they claim he had a serious head injury? Are the doctors/nurses just ignoring that now? #Emmerdale!”
However, a different soap watcher insisted: “They won’t kill off Joe. Not when they can get months worth of ‘revenge on Ruby and Caleb’ storylines out of it. #Emmerdale.”
