Mark Fowler Jr has caused a stir since returning to EastEnders earlier this year.
The character, played by Stephen Aaron-Sipple, arrived at his uncle Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) doorstep covered battered and bruised back in January and he’s since been at the centre of the drama ever since.
Mark recently was reunited with his estranged father Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) who recently arrived back in Walford to bid farewell to his best friend Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) who recently died following a battle with dementia.
During Tuesday’s (May 19) episode, Grant revealed he has sold his bar in Portugal and will soon have the funds to help out his struggling son, but Mark ejected the offer determined to fix things alone.
With too much at stake, Lauren Branning (Jacquline Jossa) quizzed Mark for details about their car scam and he reassured her that he’ll take the fall if anything goes wrong. As the first car arrived, a sceptical Max Branning (Jake Wood) asked Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to investigate Mark.

Jack uncovered Mark’s past dealings but advised Max to not confront Lauren yet. Mark later received a warning from the people he owes money to.
He desperately asked Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) to help him and gained access to the car lot safe but a message from Lauren triggered guilt and he stormed out, unknowingly dropping his keys to No.55. Whilst considering turning to Grant for help, Mark was suddenly bundled into a van by masked men and driven off.

EastEnders spoilers have revealed Grant grows increasingly worried about Mark and leaves another voicemail as the day of Nigel’s funeral arrives.
Concerned for her missing brother, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) approaches Phil and Grant, who had assumed Mark was with her. Soon after Grant receives a call, from Russell Delaney (Anthony Skordi) demanding full payment and things escalate when he overhears Sam, with whom he has history,
Determined not to derail Nigel’s funeral, Phil insists they deal with Russell afterwards, and the siblings reluctantly agree. However, despite agreeing to go after the funeral, Phil, Grant, Sam (Kim Medcalf) and Billy (Perry Fenwick) decide to go and find Mark immediately but where is he?

After recently reuniting with his dad Grant, fans have been left wondering who his mum is. Mark is the son of Grant and Michelle Fowler (Susan Tully), who lied to him about his paternity for years.
It was only in 2016 that viewers learned Grant was Mark’s father. Grant found this out too in an episode at this time, never having been told the truth.
