‘One of the few to reach out’: Prince William ‘offered condolences’ to disgraced uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in shock phone call after titles stripped
Prince William allegedly contacted Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on the day King Charles stripped him of his titles to "offer his condolences" in a bombshell phone call.

Prince William allegedly reached out to his disgraced uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, after King Charles stripped him of his royal titles and ordered him out of Royal Lodge.
According to author Robert Hardman, the conversation took place on the night Andrew, 66, lost his titles in late October 2025 amid intense scrutiny into his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
It’s claimed the Prince of Wales, 43, “offered his condolences” to Andrew, and was “one of the few people” to reach out.
In his new book, Elizabeth II: In Private. In Public. The Inside Story, Hardman says the former Duke of York was “very touched” by William’s call.
Sky News Australia has contacted Kensington Palace for comment.
In the months that followed, William and wife Princess Catherine spoke publicly about the Epstein scandal after more allegations against Andrew emerged.
“I can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations,” their spokesperson said on February 9.
“Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”

Just over a week later, Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
The former prince is accused of sharing confidential information with the late sex offender during his time as a UK trade envoy, and remains under investigation.
While Andrew was in custody at Aylsham police station, the King issued a statement sharing his “deepest concern” and confirming police had his “wholehearted support and co-operation” in their investigations.
William did not comment directly on Andrew’s arrest, but admitted days later at the BAFTA Awards that he was “not in a calm state”.
Previous reports claimed William had been encouraging his family to take a stricter approach to Andrew for years.
According to royal expert Russell Myers, William called for King Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth II to banish Andrew after his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview in 2019.
“He never much liked his uncle and wanted him out of the picture immediately before the rot further set in,” a source claimed in Myers’ new book, William and Catherine.
“William’s view was that he (Andrew) got himself into the whole mess, so he should be left to his own devices to sort it out away from the family.”
It is also claimed that William held a grudge against Andrew over the way he treated Kate when she was first introduced to the Royal Family.
According to Andrew Lownie, the then-prince “wasn’t nice” to Kate and felt she “wasn’t posh enough” to marry the future King.
The author also told PEOPLE that Andrew would refer to the Princess of Wales’s “commoner” upbringing.
