ITV Emmerdale fans worry for pregnant Isabel Hodgins as she reveals huge bump
Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has been inundated with messages of support from her co-stars.
Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins has shared a significant pregnancy announcement as she displayed her expanding baby bump during a gym session.
The actress rose to prominence when she joined the ITV soap in 2006 playing Victoria Sugden. Since her arrival, the character has featured in numerous dramatic storylines.
Beyond her life in the Dales, Isabel revealed in August that she was expecting her first child with new husband Adam Whitehead, just months after their wedding ceremony.
Isabel and Adam exchanged vows in April during a magical celebration at Castlefield Rooms in Manchester city centre, reports the Daily Star. Building on their happiness, Isabel shared her pregnancy announcement in August.
Taking to Instagram, the soap actress posted a photograph of herself and Adam holding their scan image and wrote: “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes… Baby Whitehead.”

Since the announcement, Isabel has been providing fans with regular updates about her pregnancy experience. Most recently, she posted footage of herself exercising at a fitness centre.
The expectant mother looked fantastic as she worked out whilst displaying her developing baby bump. She wrote alongside the post: “Gym with bump. Eating for two. Training for two.”
Nevertheless, several of her supporters expressed worry, with one follower commenting: “Be careful.” Another remarked: “Careful, you’ll do yourself a mischief the way you’re lifting that last lot of weights.” A third observed: “Love this video too just be careful darling especially with the bump.”
However, other fans were quick to praise Isabel. One admirer gushed: “Wow, you are doing amazing and look absolutely glowing.” Another chimed in: “Yes Isabel who says pregnant mamas can’t keep fit, you’re doing so well keep at it.”
Echoing these sentiments, a third fan declared: “You’re glowing, pregnancy really suits you.” A fourth also backed Isabel, writing: “See you can do anything when pregnant.”
Her Emmerdale colleagues also rallied around Isabel. Lawrence Robb, who plays Mackenzie Boyd, said: “This really made me smile.” Meanwhile, Danny Miller, who portrays Aaron Dingle, wrote: “Very, very good.”
Isabel’s update on her pregnancy follows hints that she may take a temporary hiatus from Emmerdale to focus on motherhood.
Speaking about this decision, the ITV star told The Mirror in August: “I will miss it. I love the people there, but I’ve worked there for 19 years, so I feel like I’ve done what I’ve wanted to do and been selfish with my career.Isabel added: “Now, it’s time to devote my life to being a mum, that feels right to me. But there’s still FaceTime, so they won’t forget me!”
