Emmerdale viewers have been left on the edge of their seats following a chilling Dr Todd flashforward.
Soap fans will remember that Dr Todd recently sexually assaulted Charity Dingle after weeks of blackmailing her over the true parentage of baby Leyla.
Charity has been struggling in silence after reporting Dr Todd to the police, and in recent scenes she bravely confided in husband Mack Boyd about the full extent of what had taken place.
In episodes aired this week, which were subject to a schedule shake-up owing to FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage, Mack confronted Dr Todd at her new hospital in Sheffield.
During the tense face-off, Dr Todd denied the allegations, insisting her encounter with Charity was consensual rather than assault, and attempted to win Mack over with a barrage of lies and a seemingly remorseful act.

However, an enraged Mack silenced Dr Todd, swearing to ensure she faced prison for the rape of his wife. Todd remained defiant as security arrived, to which Mack responded with a chilling final warning, vowing to kill Todd should she ever lay a hand on Charity again.
The episode drew to a harrowing close as a flashforward showed police at a crime scene, photographing a lifeless, blood-soaked body — with Dr Todd revealed as the victim.
Following the episode and its dramatic confrontation, DS Reid, portrayed by Angela Lonsdale, paid a visit to Mack and Charity, informing them that Dr Todd had reported his threats to the authorities.

Spoilers for next week now hint at what lies ahead in this explosive storyline. In forthcoming scenes, Mack opens up to Charity, struggling to envisage any path forward following her deceit and dishonesty over recent months.
Soap fans will remember that Charity served as a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah Sugden and the latter’s husband Jacob.
Yet she has neglected to inform the pair that she and Ross Barton are actually the biological parents of baby Leyla following an affair despite being wed to Mack.
Meanwhile, witnessing just how incensed Mack is by Ross’ betrayal, Kev Townsend, who lately formed a connection with a troubled Mack, offers some sage advice as he encourages him not to do anything reckless.
But will Mack heed Kev’s counsel and is he accountable for Dr Todd’s fate?
