The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated June 30. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube.

Doctor Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) has returned to Emmerdale, and she appears to be in quite a bit of danger.

The evil woman left the village a couple of weeks ago for a new job in Sheffield. Prior to her departure, Caitlin was questioned by DS Reid (Angela Lonsdale) regarding Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) claim that she raped her.

Caitlin told Reid that the sex she had with Charity was consensual. Due to these comments and lack of physical evidence, she was let go.

Doctor Todd then said goodbye to Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), leaving Charity in an absolute state.

A couple of days ago, Charity told partner Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) about the rape, and how Doctor Todd was blackmailing her over baby Leyla. In the initial aftermath of this, Mackenzie has hugely struggled to process everything, and give the likes of Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) the impression that nothing is wrong.

In today’s episode of the ITV soap, it was the day of Leyla’s christening. As residents made their way to the church ready for the event, Charity was at her home trying to persuade Mack to attend.

He eventually changed his mind when Charity pointed out that baby Leyla shouldn’t feel the impact of their problems. At the ceremony, everyone had smiles on their faces, while Mack found it incredibly difficult to keep up his facade.

In the pub toilets, a quiet Mackenzie found Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill). He was stealing some water for his bakery van, and wasn’t really fussed that he was close to throwing water all over Mack’s shoes.

The two men ended up back at the Anderson household after Kev sensed that something was bothering Mack.

Over some tea and cake, Kev listened to Mack as he touched on the issues he was experiencing. Mackenzie confirmed to Kev that his wife had cheated on him, but didn’t reveal any of the other details.

Kev told Mack that he has every right to hurt the person who hurt his family.

Mackenzie was worried about making the situation worse though, so Kev told him to be ‘quiet’ and ‘clever’ about it. He also said that if Mack doesn’t do anything, that need for revenge will only get worse.

As the episode ended, Mackenzie had arrived at the hospital where Doctor Todd now works.

Caitlin asked Mack if everything was alright. He responded by telling Doctor Todd that he has a problem, and it isn’t going away.

Considering we know an Emmerdale resident will be attacked soon, these words have the potential to haunt Mackenzie.

Will Doctor Todd become the victim as Mack attempts to get quiet revenge?
