There’s shocking scenes on Emmerdale next week, as news of a m.u.r.d.e.r leaves a family reeling.
But what they are yet to uncover is a huge secret that changes everything. Amid Ray and Celia continuing to target teen April, it all gets too much next week.
Her boyfriend Dylan, who is also being exploited by the pair, advises April’s dad Marlon that he should check on her. As Marlon asks his daughter what trouble she is in, April initially downplays it all.
It soon becomes too much though, and as Marlon presses April for answers she confesses what she’s been going through. As Marlon realises what has been happening, he’s determined to go to the police.

April is desperate to stop her dad though, fearing the d.e.a.d.l.y repercussions the family will face. Soon April’s stepmother Rhona is involved too, and as she encourages April to be open, Marlon is preparing to leave to report everything to the police.
April tries to convince him it’s a bad idea but he doesn’t listen, as Rhona tries to comfort the panicked teen. Hyperventilating she pleads with her dad, before tearfully dropping a m.u.r.d.e.r bombshell.
She confesses to Marlon that she k.i.l.l.e.d a man, and that this is why he cannot go to the police. Rhona and Marlon are stopped in their tracks, reeling over the d.e.a.t.h bombshell.
But how will they react, and will they still want to go to the police? Of course what April doesn’t even know is that Callum, the client, isn’t d.e.a.d, and she isn’t a k.i.l.l.e.r.

Ray and Celia had April think she k.i.l.l.e.d him after she attacked him with a glass bottle, after he forced himself on her. Ray told April he disposed of Callum’s body and that she now owed him.
Of course viewers know Callum survived, and Ray bought his silence. If the truth about Callum’s fate makes its way back to April and her parents then this will change everything.
Worryingly, Celia appears to find out what April has told them as she storms into the family’s home. The trio look panicked as Celia comes in with something to show them on her phone, but what is it?
Elsewhere next week, Ray gets closer to love interest Laurel Thomas, who has no idea about the man she is letting into her life. As Ray puts his heart on the line she decides to give him another chance, so how will she react to the real Ray?
