EastEnders star set to QUIT soap in dramatic exit storyline

RONNI Ancona is leaving EastEnders and will film her dramatic exit in the coming weeks.
The comedian and impressionist joined the BBC soap last year in a high-profile signing by new boss Ben Wadey.
She played Linda Carter’s school pal Bea Pollard and made her first appearance in Albert Square back in January.
Just months into her stint Bea was revealed as a twisted villain who stole thousands from Honey Mitchell before putting her in hospital. And now actress Ronni is set to bow out of the soap following another shock twist.
A source said: “Ben was delighted when Ronni agreed to join EastEnders after approaching her for the role of Bea.
“He had big shoes to fill following the departure of former EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw and was desperate to bring in someone with a profile.

“They wanted to see how the character and storyline went down with the viewers, and give Ronni the chance to find her feet.
And although she has loved her time in Albert Square she will be leaving in the coming weeks.
“She came in for a six month stint but there was talk of it being extended if everyone agreed. Sadly, that won’t be happening and Ronni will be leaving.”
Like many signings for the soap, Ronni already had quite a profile before she signed up for EastEnders.
As well as being a contestant on a festive Strictly Come Dancing, she was also hugely popular on panel shows ranging from QI and Have I Got News for You to Pointless Celebrities and Shooting Stars.
She was no stranger to dramas either, appearing on Hotel Babylon, Holby City and Last Tango in Halifax.
A spokeswoman for EastEnders said: “As we previously announced, Ronni Ancona joined EastEnders for a short stint, which was then extended, for a very dramatic storyline which will unfold over the next few weeks”
