Actress Cheryl Hall was best known for her role in the BBC soap, The Bill and Citizen Smith. However, the iconic star is no more with us and has passed away at the age of 76. Her former partner and Coronation Street actor Robin Askwith shared the news with her fans on social media.

Askwith also paid a homage to her career and posted a throwback photo of the pair. He couldn’t resist praising Cheryl, calling her a brave, charismatic, and innovative working-class actress from the late 1960s.

Robin Askwith expressed his sorrow online, writing, “What a force of nature she was…A really innovative working-class charismatic actress coming out of the late 60s. Brave in every way. And now I have the sad news that she has passed away…I am devastated…she was my beginning…RIP Cheryl Hall.”

Cheryl had a wonderful career and made many notable television appearances. This included playing Sadie in 12 episodes of The Bill, returning to the series as Pauline in 2007. Cheryl Hall also appeared as Christine in the BBC soap.
