A dangerous confrontation, emotional fallout and George pushed to his limit — Walford is reeling from the aftermath

EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders’ George Knight puts himself in grave danger next week, when a sparring session in the boxing ring with Mark Fowler goes wrong – and leaves him unconscious!
Reeling from the discovery about his dad Eddie and partner Nicola’s secret deal, George is keen to let off steam but makes a bad decision that threatens his fragile health. Has he pushed himself too far?
“George is still processing what was a truly life-changing night,” begins our EastEnders insider. “Not only did he find out that Nicola was profiting from Eddie coming to stay, but a tense confrontation with his dad took a very dramatic turn.
“However, this week George returns to an old coping mechanism that could cost him his life…”
Things are still frosty between George and Nicola, and the pair clash about Nicola’s cruel manipulation in exchange for cash. George desperately needs an outlet for his anger so ropes in Mark for a workout in the Boxing Den.
But George’s mind is elsewhere and while in a trance, he takes things up a notch and Mark is forced to fight back to defend himself. What begins as a friendly session soon becomes violent, and in the heat of the moment, Mark accidentally lands a punch…
“George is out cold in the middle of the ring!” exclaims our source. “Mark immediately helps his sparring partner, but when Phil realises what’s happened, he is even more concerned. Remember, George developed a brain injury a couple of years ago and was told that one more knock to the head could be fatal – so this is obviously hugely worrying…”
As Phil explains that he should never have been boxing, George refuses to go to hospital, despite being left groggy and confused. Phil takes his friend home instead and tells Nicola about George’s condition, something she was completely unaware of until now.
Nicola is left to try to justify why she took money from evil Eddie, but Harry later comes to his mum with another big problem…
“Gina is still blissfully unaware of Nicola and Eddie’s deal,” our spy reminds us. “But Harry worries that George might spill the beans to his daughter and is concerned that this could spell the end of his own relationship.
“Harry pushes Nicola to come clean to Gina herself, but will she heed her son’s stern warning?”
As the week continues, Nicola tries to get through to George – but is there any hope of making amends?
