Whether or not Brooke Shields’ Allie and Amalia Williamson’s Andi will be able to solve the case in front of them remains to be seen. “I solve mysteries for a living”, Allie says in the trailer, before falling inelegantly through a window. What other detective dramas can I watch now?
If you haven’t yet seen ITV’s Gone, it’s well worth catching up. Written by George Kay (Hijack), the series stars Eve Myles (Keeping Faith) as gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, who’s investigating the mysterious disappearance of Bristol woman, Sarah. And her main suspect? Sarah’s husband, Headmaster Michael Polly (David Morrissey), who vehemently denies any wrongdoing. You can watch Gone now on ITVX. For something a little cosier, try Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. The Agatha Christie-esque drama takes us back to the roaring 1920s where, despite the glamorous setting, there’s murder and mayhem aplenty. There’s one woman, however, who’s going to solve it all and her name is Phryne Fisher, the unflappable detective who’s so glam that she even has a pearl-handled pistol. You can watch all three series of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries on U now. For more great detective dramas you can watch now, check out our pick of the very best here.
