Beyond Paradise’s fourth series is in full swing, and this latest instalment brings familiar faces from the worlds of Happy Valley and Line of Duty.
In the fourth episode of Beyond Paradise season four, a local seaweed farm falls victim to sabotage, and when whispers of a mermaid being responsible begin to circulate, DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) finds himself genuinely pondering whether there could be any truth to the tale.
Meanwhile, Humphrey and Martha Lloyd’s (Sally Bretton) new home renovations get off to a shaky start, as his ill-fated attempt at plumbing ends in predictable chaos.

Jeff Simmons – Henry Miller

At the centre of this week’s mystery is Jeff Simmons, a fisherman who claims to have witnessed a legendary mermaid on the very night of the sabotage.
The character is portrayed by actor Henry Miller, perhaps best known for his role as solicitor Robert Morganstaff in Series 4 of Line of Duty, as well as Dr Theobald in ITV’s Grace and Porter in His Dark Materials.
Diana Cooper – Rina Mahoney

Actress Rina Mahoney takes on the role of Diana Cooper in this week’s episode of Beyond Paradise.
She has previously appeared in a string of high-profile productions, including playing Mariam Rahman in The Bay, Janet Ottinger in Netflix’s Wednesday, Ayesha in Gangs of London and Anisha Bhatti in Happy Valley.
Dr Mary Rhodes – Susan George

Rounding out the guest cast is actress Susan George, who portrays Dr Mary Rhodes, a marine conservationist who has been persistently lobbying the local council over the seaweed farms.
Viewers may recognise her from her earlier role as Margaret Walking in EastEnders during the early noughties.
Maud Dingleby – Susan Penhalgion

Actress Susan Penhalgion is perhaps most recognised for her role as Helen in the sitcom A Fine Romance, as well as portraying Jean Hope in Emmerdale in 2006.
She plays Mary’s friend Maud Dingleby, who dedicates much of her time to litter picking along the beach.
Lacy Dingleby – Talia Robens

Actress Talia Robens, making her acting debut in Beyond Paradise, takes on the role of Maud’s granddaughter Lacy Dingleby, who is deeply passionate about conservation.
Elijah Moore – Xander Pang

Another newcomer to acting is Xander Pang, who portrays Elijah Moore, Lacey’s friend and a keen surfer.
