Beyond Paradise begins filming on latest series in Cornwall and Devon

Shipton Abbott is officially open for business once again, as filming gets underway on the brand-new series of Beyond Paradise.

The sun-drenched Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise spin-off sees Kris Marshall reprise his role as the loveably unconventional DI Humphrey Goodman, alongside returning stars Sally Bretton, Zahra Ahmadi, Dylan Llewellyn, and Felicity Montagu. Viewers can expect more of the signature blend of quirky cases, heartfelt drama, and coastal charm that made the first two series a ratings hit.

Set in the fictional Devon town of Shipton Abbott (filmed on location in picturesque Cornwall and Devon), the new series promises another round of baffling mysteries, eccentric suspects, and warm community spirit — all wrapped up in the scenic surroundings of Britain’s south-west.

The show, created by Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise writer Robert Thorogood, has carved out its own identity as a cosy crime drama with real emotional depth — exploring personal stories as much as puzzling cases. With its mix of light-hearted humour and moving moments, Beyond Paradise continues to charm viewers and breathe new life into the detective genre.

More twists, turns, and seaside sleuthing are coming soon to BBC One.
