Emmerdale is set to be rocked by a new mystery after a flashforward reveals that a shocking crime has taken place, and fans think one legend will meet their untimely death. In a blink-and-you ‘ll-miss-it moment set to air this week, fans of ITV will catch a brief glimpse into the future as they see a crime scene, with photographs being taken as evidence.
Teasing a thrilling ‘whodunnit’, the victim will be revealed, with the following weeks and months offering vital clues of what’s to come. However, a big question remains: what exactly has happened to the deceased, and who is the culprit?

Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Jimmy King, played by Nick Miles, will be the dead body in the futuristic clip, as the actor is set to leave the ITV soap.
After more than 22 years in the village, Jimmy will reportedly be killed off in a dramatic new stunt for the soap.
Originally arriving in 2004 alongside his dad and brothers, Jimmy has transformed over the past two decades from a brutal, multimillionaire businessman into a comedic family man who loves nothing more than his wife, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler).
His exit will coincide with the return of ex-wife Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) after 20 years away from the village.
Taking to Reddit, Emmerdale fans have been predicting that Jimmy’s death will spark a new whodunnit for the soap, with one fan asking: “Whose body do you think is in the flash forward?”

A second replied: “Dr. Todd seems likely, but I hope not, as they went down that route with Craig and Anthony. I think if the rumours are true, then Jimmy.”
A third expressed: “I think Jimmy will be killed off, but I would want it to be someone unexpected, like we already know Jimmy is leaving.”
“I reckon Jimmy or Dr. Todd. I really hope it’s not Todd. I just want one instance of either Corrie or Emmerdale actually having an abuser/sex offender face legal justice”, added another.
While another predicted: “It could still happen during Sadies return, seeing as it’s a flash forward. I can see it being Jimmy and then gradually lots of people all of a sudden have a reason to either kill him or cause a heart attack or something along those lines.”
