The villain is currently blackmailing Charity Dingle, and that is set to continue next week. She’s been bullying Jacob Sugden for months too at the hospital, but a recent episode saw her retire and leave her job there.
That hasn’t stopped her from targeting Jacob in the village though, trying to make people think he is obsessed with her and has anger issues. Compiling faked evidence against him, she’s managed to convince new love interest Vanessa Woodfield that Jacob has harassed her.
Vanessa tore strips off Jacob and didn’t believe him despite knowing him since he was a child. But will she be so Team Todd if she finds out the doctor is now targeting her ex Charity?

New spoilers reveal that next week, Vanessa is warned to be careful around Todd by Charity. It seems Vanessa listens to her and agrees she will be careful.
Also next week, Sarah Sugden, Jacob’s wife and Charity’s granddaughter, is sickened by Vanessa and Todd’s blossoming romance. She has already had a go at Vanessa, furious over Todd’s treatment of Jacob.
So when she sees them getting along next week she can’t hide her disgust. But could these moments be a tase that either Sarah or Vanessa will be the one to expose Dr Todd?
If Sarah is pushed too far, might she take action after Jacob decided against going to HR at the hospital? Given her closeness to Vanessa, might she be able to convince her that Todd is the one to be mindful of, not Jacob?

As for Vanessa, the fact that she’s taken Charity’s warning on board is definitely a change of tune given how she spoke to Jacob and Sarah. So could it hint that either she’s starting to realise something isn’t right, or perhaps she trusts Charity enough to know she wouldn’t warn her if she didn’t think there was a reason to?
Maybe Sarah will be the one to take down Todd for messing with Jacob and threatening her grandmother Charity. Or maybe in an unexpected twist Vanessa will see sense, after fans begged her to listen to Jacob.
Maybe they will team up! We will just have to wait and see. It all escalates for Charity next week, when Todd demands a £10,000 payment and gives her a week to pay up.
Charity desperately tries to sell her share of The Woolpack pub to raise the funds, but has no luck. After failing to secure a loan extension, she asks Ruby Miligan to buy her out of the pub.
Caleb Miligan tells Charity no, so Charity asks Kim Tate instead. She even offers it at discounted price, and Kim tells her she will think about it. But will Charity really sell the pub?
