Emmerdale Ross Barton’s love interest ‘sealed’ and it’s not who you think
Romance could be on the cards for unlucky-in-love Ross on Emmerdale after he started a new job at Home Farm.
Ross Barton may be heading towards an unexpected Emmerdale romance that nobody anticipated.
During Monday’s episode of the ITV soap, Ross (Mike Parr) settled into Home Farm after Kim Tate (Claire King) appointed him as security for the property.
Amidst her ongoing tensions with former partner Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) and step-grandson Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), Kim stunned both men by recruiting Ross as “extra muscle”.
Ross wasted little time asserting himself with the pair and with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), making it abundantly clear he wasn’t leaving and had Kim’s full confidence. Whilst Dawn expressed her revulsion and challenged his intentions, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) responded very differently.
Gabby appeared utterly captivated by their latest Home Farm resident, struggling to look away and volunteering her assistance. Ross winked at her, signalling his own interest, before requesting a beverage, which prompted Gabby to dash into the kitchen. Could romance be on the cards for the duo?

Gabby’s heart was shattered when her brief marriage to husband Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) collapsed after he confided in her about his sexuality. Following their separation, Vinny has recently begun a relationship with Ross’ brother Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches), reports The Mirror.
Gabby has remained unattached, though it emerged that she had been unfaithful to Vinny before their wedding.
Meanwhile, Ross had been coping with the devastating loss of his former partner, Rebecca White (Emily Head), before embarking on a relationship with Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay).
However, Ross had a brief affair with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) after Steph called it quits, and failed to confess this when Steph sought reconciliation shortly afterwards. To add insult to injury, he then cheated on her again by sleeping with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who is now expecting his child.

Taking to X, one Emmerdale fan pointed out: “Gabby is crushing on Ross,” while a second suggested: “Time to hook up Gabby and Ross.”
A third explained: “Dawn and Ross’ affair incoming! We’re predicting. Dawn and Gabby as Kathy and Kim mark 2 fighting over Ross! #Emmerdale.”
“Ross flirting with Gabby (laughing face),” added another.
