Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) was left reeling after receiving DNA test results which confirmed who the father of her unborn child is.
The popular character, as viewers know, has been sleeping with Max Branning (Jake Wood), who is set to end Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) in a matter of weeks.
The dalliance began back in June after Priya was left heartbroken by Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), who thought it best at the time that they end their relationship.
Ravi, however, came to regret splitting from Priya and thus resolved to win her back, proposing in emotional scenes earlier this month.
Bowled over by the proposal and what he had to say, Priya realised that he was the man she wanted to spend her life with and thus said yes, ending the affair with Max.
Upon discovering she’s pregnant, Priya roped Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) into helping her secure DNA swabs from both Ravi and Max so that she could find out who the father is.
On Thursday (August 27), she anxiously awaited the results via text message.
In emotional scenes, she and Ravi reaffirmed their love for one another – but the mood shifted when she received said results, which confirmed that Max is the baby’s father.
Priya was left in shock. The question is: will Ravi find out?
What’s more, is this confirmation that Priya is the pregnant woman in Max’s bed on New Year’s Day, after such scenes were teased in a flashforward episode earlier in the year? Or is there another twist beckoning?
