DEATH In Paradise fans were left doing a double take after Don Gilet’s famous TV star girlfriend made a surprise appearance on the hit BBC drama – but did you spot her?
Siobhan Finneran was cast alongside her real-life partner Don, who stars as DI Mervin Wilson.
The actor joined Death in Paradise as the show’s leading man last year, after stepping into Ralf Little’s shoes.
The show follows the story of a British police officer in the Caribbean, investigating murders on the idyllic island of Saint Marie.
The third episode of series 15 saw the investigation put the couple’s characters on opposite ends of the murder case.
Siobhan played Fleur Edwards, an artist who relocated to Saint Marie three months ago in search of creative inspiration.
But her new start is thrown into chaos when her neighbour, Henry Carpenter, is shot dead.
Fans of the show loved watching the exchanges with the real-life partners.
Taking to X, one wrote: “These spiky exchanges are all the funnier when you know that Siobhan and Don are real life partners #DeathInParadise.”
Siobhan is best known for her roles in Happy Valley, Benidorm and Downton Abbey.
Don and Siobhan both worked together on-screen previously on the 2017 ITV drama The Loch, which is when they started dating.
The six-part series follows officer Annie Redford (Laura Fraser) and her no-nonsense partner Lauren Quigley (Siobhan Finneran) as the new colleagues team up to investigate a slate of killings.
Don played the psychological profiler Blake Albrighton in the drama.
Meanwhile, a Death in Paradise episode was pulled from schedules on Friday in a shake-up that left fans furious.
Viewers who were hoping to get their weekly instalment of Death in Paradise were left disappointed it was replaced by the football.
The show, which usually airs on BBC One at 9pm every Friday, was taken out of the schedule to make way for the fourth round of the FA Cup, which saw Hull take on Chelsea.
Fans could watch the episode on BBC iPlayer, or wait till Monday night on BBC One.
Death in Paradise will be back in its usual slot this Friday.
