Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Who Will Be On The Receiving End of Karen’s Wrath?

Well, folks…
Starting with the next episode of Season 9, we’re about to see postpartum depression set in — and on top of that, the crushing grief of Karen losing one of her babies.
I think we’re all thinking the same thing. We’ve been talking about this ever since Karen’s water broke at Zach and Fatima’s place. And that big question has been hanging in the air:
If something goes wrong, will Karen blame Fatima?
From what we’ve seen in the synopsis and trailer, Karen’s going to be lashing out at everyone. She doesn’t want to be around people. She doesn’t want anyone smiling in her face.
Even though the doctors recommend she get up and walk around to aid her recovery… she refuses. She’s shutting down.
So the real question is — who’s going to get the worst of her anger?
At some point, the girls will have to go back to work. They’ll bring Karen home from the hospital to Miss Lisa’s care, and once they leave, it’s going to be Pam and Miss Lisa holding down the fort.
We also know Aaron will go check on Zach.
But beyond that? What happens next is anyone’s guess.
Now, I’ll admit — this might get frustrating to watch. But we have to remember something: grief like this doesn’t go away in a single 42-minute episode.
And honestly? I’m glad they’re not wrapping it up too quickly.
Unlike some storylines (looking at you, “Who stabbed Gary?” dragging for a whole season), this one has real emotional weight. It deserves time to breathe. I expect we’ll see Karen’s grief play out until at least the middle — maybe even the end — of the season.
But here’s where it gets tricky…
I said this during my livestream, and I know it’s a harsh take, but I have to be real:
How much of Karen’s grief is about losing her baby… and how much is about losing the connection that baby gave her to Zach?
Before all the baby daddy confusion, Karen made it clear she didn’t want a child with Aaron because “we don’t know each other well enough.”
Yet she slept with both men so close together that paternity was a mystery.
And I’ve said it before: Karen wasn’t ready to be a mom.
-
If the baby had been Zach’s, she would have used that child as a weapon against Zach and Fatima’s relationship.
-
If the baby had been Aaron’s, she would have resented that child because it wasn’t with the man she truly wanted.
Either way, that child would have grown up in a cloud of bitterness and toxicity.
Now, with the loss of Zach’s baby, that tether between them is gone.
Aside from a possible funeral or memorial, there’s no reason for Zach to be a constant presence in her life anymore. No more check-ins. No more child support conversations.
Karen will have to face what Lisa calls her “new normal.”
And remember — Karen is the only one who knows Fatima is pregnant with Zach’s child.
That’s going to add another layer to her grief… and possibly fuel more resentment.
Episode 7 is titled “Cutting Ties”, and I can’t help but wonder: Is this the breaking point for Karen, Zach, and Fatima’s fragile coexistence?
We’ll find out soon enough.
So, what do you think? Is Karen’s rage more about her loss… or about losing her last hold on Zach?
Drop your thoughts below, and I’ll see you in the next one.
