Shona McGarty fuels romance rumours with EastEnders co-star as fans ask ‘is this a soft launch?’
SHONA McGarty has fuelled romance rumours that she’s dating her EastEnders co-star and on-screen partner, Tony Discipline.
Last week the soap stars were spotted looking rather cosy together on a night out, posing for photos.
But after their latest snaps posted to Instagram fans have started to ask whether they’ve just soft-launched themselves as an official couple.
In the post shared to both of their pages, Shona and Tony are both dressed up smartly at the Women’s Football Awards.
Shona opted to wear a figure-hugging black dress paired with a thin black belt.
Meanwhile Tony spruced up his classic black suit with a pair of red sunglasses for a pop of colour.
The actors have their hands on one another in each of the four snaps, holding hands or embracing.
The duo captioned the sweet series of photos by writing: “What a great evening at the @womensfootballawards last week!
“Such an incredible opportunity to celebrate the heroes driving women’s football forward on and off the pitch!“
Fans of Shona are convinced she’s found herself a new man and started asking her about it in the post’s comments section.
One user said: “Is this a soft launch???”
A second shared: “What is going on?”
A third added: “That’s not Aitch.”
Shona and Tony played couple Whitney Dean and Tyler Moon on Eastenders.
Tony left Eastenders in 2013 after two years on the show.
Meanwhile Shona bowed out of Eastenders in 2023, after spending 16 years in Walford.
Shona and rapper Aitch’s chemistry during their time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! together sparked romance rumours among viewers.
However, they never became a couple and remain close friends.
