“She’s More Than Just Miranda Priestly…” — The Real Story Of Death In Paradise Star Victoria Ekanoye Will Surprise You
Coronation Street fans spotted a familiar face in tonight's Death in Paradise episode.

Death in Paradise viewers were quick to figure out where they recognised drug lord Miranda Priestly from, as they settled in to watch the show this evening. Death in Paradise returned tonight, Sunday, June 28, on BBC One for a classic episode of everyone’s favourite cosy crime drama.
This time around, DS Florence Cassell (played by Josephine Jobert) takes on an undercover role as the nanny for Miranda Priestly (Victoria Ekanoye), a dangerous drug lord. It was up to Florence in this two-part special to infiltrate Miranda’s drug operation but BBC viewers couldn’t help but be distracted by the star behind this week’s villain.

Death in Paradise welcomed actress Victoria Ekanoye to portray Miranda Priestly in the two-part special which first aired three years ago.
Prior to her guest role in Death in Paradise, Ekanoye had a two-year stint in none other than ITV’s Coronation Street as Angie Appleton.
Internationally, Ekanoye is probably better known for playing Rachel, the loyal confidante and assistant to Elizabeth Hurley’s Queen Helena in The Royals.
Some of her other biggest onscreen roles have been in Girl Taken, The Turkish Detective, Doctors and The Worst Witch.
Before she turned her attention to the small screen though, Ekanoye began her career in the world of musical theatre, performing in West End’s The Lion King as Queen Sarabi and Nala.

She has also dabbled in performing as a singer, taking part in the 2019 series of The X Factor: Celebrity where she performed in the “Over 31s” category.
The 44-year-old was represented by judge Nicole Scherzinger and finished in 11th place.
Ekanoye has several projects currently in the pipeline, including upcoming BBC drama The Split Up which acts as a spin-off of the hit legal series The Split.
In addition, the actress will feature in a romantic drama entitled As Bad as Me and An English Christmas Wish which is expected to come out later this year.
