“Nobody Can Stop Him…” — Kyle’s Dangerous Downward Spiral Leads To A Shocking Gun Stand-Off

The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated July 3. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube.
Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) once again resorted to dark measures to try and deal with his emotions in Emmerdale only this time, fire wasn’t involved.
Yesterday, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) learnt about Kyle having Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) watch. He assumed his son had stolen it, and was bewildered to learn that Graham had actually given it to him.
Cain marched over to Home Farm and demanded that Graham explained himself. He said that he noticed Kyle was struggling and wanted to help. This was Cain’s cue to thank Graham for being there for Kyle at a time when he was very focused on his health problems but, unsurprisingly, Cain didn’t take that cue, and instead unleashed his anger.
At Wishing Well, Cain failed to understand Kyle’s comments about how Graham has been supportive to him in recent weeks. He said that he was no longer allowed to see him, and also pointed out that Graham protects Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), who also happens to be the man who killed Kyle’s mum.
The youngster couldn’t cope with the difficult thoughts and feelings in his mind after this discovery. In today’s episode, he burst into Home Farm in search of answers from Joe, and even managed to pick a gun up that was resting against a cabinet.
Graham returned and took the gun from Kyle, diffusing the situation. Overwhelmed, he returned to the Dingle home in tears, hugging Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and refusing to reveal what had just happened.
When Sam Dingle (James Hooton) arrived and shared that Joe and Kim Tate’s (Claire King) clay pigeon shooting had been cancelled, Cain wondered if Kyle had something to do with it.

At Home Farm, Cain confronted Graham but this time, it happened in front of Kim and Joe. When he left, Joe told Graham that he was always asking for trouble by looking out for Kyle, and that he needs to pick a side moving forward.
Lonely Graham really was only trying to help with Kyle, but he should’ve thought about the fact that Cain never reacts to a situation with a cool head.
Graham’s said he will stay away, but Kyle has made a few comments about how he appreciates the advice he gives him.
Cain’s words would’ve stopped Kyle doing something a few years ago, but he’s at an age now where he can quite confidently go against what his dad is saying.
What’s next for him?
