Karen’s unpredictable behavior has Sistas fans hooked, but there’s one person we’re all hoping doesn’t miss the show — Miss Lisa. With her sass, wisdom, and no-nonsense outlook, viewers are rooting for her to have a front row seat to Karen’s craziest antics yet.

Alright, Sistas fans, we’ve got another week ahead of us and, before diving in, I hope everyone who started school recently—whether it’s your kids, nieces, nephews, or even you yourself—has had a smooth start. For those beginning later this week, I hope the year treats you well. This time of year always feels like the countdown to the holidays, but today I want to shift gears and talk about Karen.

Over the weekend, I did a live stream that served as a bit of a makeup session since I missed going live after Wednesday’s episode. The response was strong, and I followed it up by posting a handful of takes about Karen—specifically about her not wanting to be a mother, her true intentions behind keeping her baby, and the way she weaponized the pregnancy against Zac. To my surprise, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Considering the backlash I’ve faced in the past, especially over my unpopular opinions about Fatima in Zatima season 3, it was shocking to see so many people reposting my points and saying, “Yes, this is it.”

Of course, there were a few negative comments, but they weren’t actual counterarguments—just insults. That’s because, truthfully, there isn’t much anyone can say to defend Karen. Her entire pregnancy arc has been about control, manipulation, and bitterness, not love or care for the child. She repeatedly used the baby as leverage, whether it was ambushing Zac with news of her pregnancy, scoffing at his efforts to arrange child support, or threatening to take him to court for more money after finding the engagement ring. Even when Zac offered $5,000 a month, she initially rejected it, only to later demand more out of spite.

This behavior made it clear: having a baby wouldn’t have transformed Karen into a mother. It would’ve turned her into an even bigger monster than she already was. Many fans agreed, pointing out how her actions echoed across multiple seasons—clips from season 2, 4, 5, and beyond highlight the same selfishness and vindictive attitude. Ebony Obsidian’s acting has been phenomenal recently, but it doesn’t erase the chaos Karen caused for nearly eight months of the show’s timeline.

To me, Karen’s arc is reminiscent of characters like Candace Young from The Haves and the Have Nots. Fans once insisted Candace deserved a happy ending, completely ignoring the destruction she left behind. It feels the same with Karen: despite her cruelty, some fans want to gloss over her actions. But her constant harassment of Zac and Fatima, her refusal to take accountability, and her endless use of the baby as a weapon shouldn’t just be forgotten.

And that brings me to my main point: I don’t actually want Karen to grow and move on—at least not yet. I want her to spiral back into that bitter, chaotic version of herself, because only then will Miss Lisa finally see who her daughter really is. When Miss Lisa returned in season 5, she immediately went into protective “mama bear” mode, assuming Zac or Aaron were the cause of Karen’s stress without ever questioning what Karen herself had been doing. She had no idea about the harassment, the ambushes, or the disrespect. And when Fatima tried to call it out, Miss Lisa dismissed it without knowing the full truth.

That’s why I want Karen to act out again. Let Miss Lisa and Aaron witness firsthand the manipulation, the pettiness, and the bitterness that Zac and Fatima have endured season after season. Let Miss Lisa finally realize she has been enabling her daughter’s worst behavior. Fans have long wanted genuine apologies from Karen, but honestly, her mother owes one too. She misjudged the situation, defended the indefensible, and in many ways helped create the monster Karen became.

Of course, I don’t want Zac and Fatima to be dragged through more unnecessary chaos, but having Miss Lisa confronted with Karen’s true nature would be powerful storytelling. It would finally balance the narrative by showing that Karen isn’t the perpetual victim her mother believes she is. Most of the stress during her pregnancy was self-inflicted, not the result of anyone else’s actions.

Now, I know some fans want to move past the drama, but this is a Tyler Perry show—we all know it doesn’t just skip over unresolved tension. If anything, Karen’s storyline will likely continue to stir conflict. The closest we came to peace was back in season 6B, when Brian, the contractor, encouraged her to invest in a new salon. For a brief moment, we saw a softer Karen willing to compromise. But by season 7, she was right back to her old ways.

So, here’s my question for you: should Karen revert to her manipulative, bitter self, giving Miss Lisa a front-row seat to her true nature? Or do you think it’s finally time to move on? Personally, I believe her mother needs to see the truth. Share your thoughts in the comments below, don’t forget to like and subscribe, and I’ll catch you in the next video.
