ITV Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher stuns fans with snap of rarely-seen brother..
Former Emmerdale star and Strictly winner Kelvin Fletcher shared throwback photos with his brother Dean on Instagram
Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has stunned fans with a snap of his rarely-seen brother. Kelvin became a household name portraying Andy Sugden on the beloved ITV drama from 1996 to 2016, before his character went on the run after being wrongly accused of attempted murder.
The 41-year-old actor and Strictly Come Dancing champion also appears in Fletchers’ Family Farm alongside his wife Liz and their four children: Marnie, Milo, Maximus and Mateusz.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday (January 11), Kelvin posted a touching tribute celebrating his younger brother Dean. The actor shared a nostalgic photograph of the duo, alongside current snaps showing the brothers with their children.
“The sofa’s different but the love is the same, and we are now sharing it with our 8 beautiful children,” he wrote in the caption, reports the Mirror.

“Still my biggest support, my closest confidant and my deepest bond. I love you brother.”
Several of Kelvin’s former Emmerdale colleagues flocked to the comments to show their appreciation, with Charley Webb, who portrayed Debbie Dingle, commenting: “Love love love.”
Natalie Anderson, known for her role as Alicia Metcalfe, shared two heart emojis, as did Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas, famous for playing Jason Grimshaw.
Soap enthusiasts also rallied around the post, with many stunned by the striking resemblance between the brothers and Kelvin’s three-year-old twins. “Wow that first pic looks just like your twins,” remarked one fan.
Another commented: “Great pic of you all. Really lovely,” whilst a third remarked: “Gosh you can tell you’re brothers! So alike!”
A fourth fan shared the same view, saying: “Blimey Kelvin you’re so alike, it’s great to see you both and all the kiddies,” with another similarly adding: “Oh wow you are the spitting image of each other! Gorgeous photos. It’s so lovely that you still have such a strong bond.”
Dean famously cheered on his brother from the audience of Strictly back in 2019, which Kelvin went on to win alongside his professional partner Oti Mabuse.
Kelvin isn’t the only family member accustomed to the limelight, as his younger brother, Brayden, is recognised for appearing in a 2016 episode of Corrie as an unnamed youth. His character memorably gave Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) a hard time.
That’s not all, as Kelvin’s half-sister, Keeley Forsyth, has also graced the cobbles with her presence. She has also released three solo albums and appeared in several popular TV programmes, including Holby City and The Casual Vacancy.
