Is Emmerdale on tonight, and when is Coronation Street on this week? Schedule revealed
Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders are all impacted by the World Cup 2026 football coverage across ITV1 and BBC One this week, with some alterations to when the soaps are on
The soap schedules are all over the place again this week, but when do Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders air?
It’s slightly different to last week in regards to the days and times each soap is on. Two days this week feature no Emmerdale and Corrie, and instead fans will be treated to hour-long episodes to make up the time.
Friday is a completely soap free zone, so after Thursday fans will have to wait until the following Monday for their next soap fix. So when is Emmerdale on this week?
Emmerdale airs Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week. Monday and Thursday will be hour-long instalments at 8PM, making up for the missing episodes on Wednesday and Friday.
Tuesday’s visit to the Dales will be 30 minutes long, at 9PM. The big drama in the village this week is the fallout to Lewis Barton’s abduction, and the return of his father Kev Townsend.
We also see the arrival of Serena Sugden, and Charity Dingle spirals. Coronation Street follows a similar transmission schedule to Emmerdale this week.
Corrie is on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week. Monday and Thursday’s episodes, like Emmerdale, will be on for an hour at 9PM, to include the missing episodes that should be shown on Wednesday and Friday.
Again like Emmerdale, Tuesday’s episode will be half an hour long at 9:30PM. It’s a huge week for Corrie as fans will finally find out who killed Theo Silverton.
Flashbacks reveal all, while secrets and lies are exposed at a dramatic dinner party. It’s certainly an unmissable week of episodes!
Finally we have EastEnders, which for most of the week is business as usual. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s episodes will all air on the right day and in its normal time slot, at 7:30PM.
Monday’s episode is on later than normal though, and it clashes with Emmerdale. Monday’s visit to Walford will air at 8:30pm, an hour later than usual.
For those fans fed up of the confusing schedules, there is another option. Corrie and Emmerdale’s episodes will drop on ITVX and YouTube as usual this week, on the days that it airs on TV.
EastEnders will drop on BBC iPlayer each day as usual too. So fans will have the option to watch the episodes at any time they like, and they can even split the hour-long episodes if they must!
