CORRIEDALE, the one-off episode where the worlds of the UK’s most-watched soaps collide, kicks off ITV’s new ‘power hour’ this evening.
Here’s everything you need to know about whether it is already available on ITVX, as is usually the case on days both of the much-loved melodramas air.
When is Corriedale airing on ITV?
Fan favourite characters from TV titans Coronation Street and Emmerdale are coming together for a sensational special show TONIGHT!
The atmospheric trailer makes clear that the soaps have gone all out, with a spectacular stunt that could have far-reaching consequences.
A multi-vehicle pile-up is at the centre of the action that sees Emmerdale and Weatherfield come together.
Both ITV soaps have given clues about what brings the characters together.
Emmerdale serial k.i.l.l.e.r John Sugden has appeared in wanted posters in Weatherfield police station.
While towards the end of November, Belle Dingle dropped a number of hints that she was the wedding planner organising Debbie Webster’s Christmas Day nuptials.
ITV said: “CORRIEDALE is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, m.u.r.d.e.r.o.u.s intent, d.e.a.t.h, destruction, closely-guarded secrets, and lies.
“Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!”
ITV confirmed Corriedale will air tonight – Monday, January 5, 2026, at 8pm.
This evening, Emmerdale will be broadcast at 7pm, before Coronation Street at 7.30pm.
Then the historic Corriedale follows in a one-hour slot on ITV.
The channel calls it a “celebration of the soap genre” and confirmed it will launch the channel’s new scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
After today’s schedule shake-up, on weekdays the new ‘soap power hour’ features one episode of each per weeknight back-to-back on ITV.
Starting from January 6, 2026, 30-minute instalments of both soaps are broadcast Monday to Friday, with Emmerdale at 8pm followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm.
Is Corriedale on ITVX?
Soap fans are usually able to watch each episode of Corrie and Emmerdale in the morning on ITVX, ahead of them airing the same evening on ITV.
However, this is not the case for Corriedale.
Viewers will have to wait for the special episode to be screened tonight.
After the 8pm airing on ITV, Corriedale becomes available to stream on ITVX at 9pm.
