He’s hiding something: EastEnders hints at a devastating turn for Ravi
Things are getting scary for the Gulati family as Ravi's storyline takes a horrible turn amid his looming mental health crisis and Nugget's ongoing battle with seizures

EastEnders’ Ravi Gulati has been struggling with his mental health for weeks, but things are about to get much worse. The BBC soap has aired concerning scenes that spell trouble for the Gulati family, particularly Ravi’s son Nugget.
Ravi (Aaron Thiara) already started Wednesday’s (24 February) episode in a rough place. He’s out of work and struggling to find a replacement, his son has developed epilepsy following a brutal attack where Ravi himself was the perpetrator and his mental health is so bad, he threw his laptop across the room.
To try and get things back on track, he asked fellow gangster Mark Fowler Jr (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) for a job. Whatever hope of progress that would have given him was quickly dashed though, as his son, Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) started to have an epileptic seizure whilst out with friends.

It was a humiliating scene for Nugget, as in front of the patrons of the local fast food chain, including his friends, he started seizing and, in the process, wet himself.
Ravi ran from the job he was supposed to be doing to be with his son, but was too late and only caught up with him after he had already returned home and showered.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the father and son went to get Nugget’s medication from the pharmacy, but found they could not due to an error in filing. Feeling helpless, Ravi snapped.
He locked himself, his son, the pharmacist, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) in the building, taking everyone hostage until he got Nugget’s medication.

Ravi’s mental health has been steadily declining since late last year, when his involvement in a drugs gang ultimately led to him blackmailing Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) and Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) into working for him. The whole situation ended with a horrible bang that saw Harry falsely chained to his own bed whilst involuntarily doped up on heroine, and his father in prison for m.u.r.d.e.r.
Ravi was forced to be an informant for the police after this and the stress of it all caused him to break down. This only got worse when a vengeful Harry drugged him, causing Ravi to hallucinate his d.e.a.d father Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry). Mistaking Nugget for Nish, Ravi beat up his own son and has been self-harming ever since.
Fans had mixed reactions about Ravi’s latest twist. One took to social media to say they felt he kept making things worse for himself. “Ravi…He just can’t help making things worse for himself and his family every time, can he?” they wrote.
Another said they hoped life would brighten for the character soon: “The pharmacy scene was surreal. This Ravi story has such a dark undercurrent. I just wish he could have a nice, lighthearted run. All of his screen time is so negative.”
A third simply felt that the storyline was repetitive, as the basics – i.e. Ravi getting a job and then having to leave for a family thing – have happened before. “How many times is Ravi going to be on his way to do a job and then get a call that somethings happened to his family, it’s getting a bit repetitive now,” they said.
