Here’s What Will Happen Next After Sam Dingle Resigns – and It Will Leave You SHOCKED

Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Sam Dingle is headed for a harrowing time after quitting his job at Home Farm.

When Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) returned to the Dales last Christmas, he appointed Sam as his new right-hand man.

However, the Dingles are in dire need of a substantial amount of money to rewire their home, leading Sam to steal some Christmas trees from a Home Farm field to make quick cash after falling victim to a scam.

He figured that selling the trees for £50 each would allow them to accumulate the necessary funds relatively swiftly. Joe quickly caught onto his plan and sacked Sam, only to reinstate him shortly afterwards.

On Monday (December 8), Sam was attempting to enjoy a day off when Joe insisted he repair a stone wall single-handedly. Unable to complete the task alone, Sam sought assistance from Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) at Butlers, reports the Daily Star.

With his half-brother Cain absent, Sam confided in Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) about his predicament.

Matty, an employee on his mother Moira’s (Natalie J Robb) farm, immediately recognised that Joe was exploiting Sam. He suggested that Joe could utilise two workers from Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) farm instead of burdening Sam with an unfeasible task on his day off.

Matty warned Sam that unless he confronted Joe about his unfair treatment, the situation would continue indefinitely.

When Sam made his way back to Home Farm, a confrontation with Joe swiftly followed, resulting in him relinquishing his position.

With Sam’s financial desperation mounting, could he fall prey to Celia (Jaye Griffiths) and her offspring, Ray Walters (Joe Abolom)?

The wicked mother-and-son duo are exploiting workers through forced labour on their property while also peddling narcotics around the village.

Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) has been trapped for months after Ray discovered the ex-wrestler residing in his vehicle and coerced him into unpaid farm labour.

Emmerdale viewers have flocked to X to speculate about Sam being drawn into Celia’s sinister operation. One fan posted: “Sam is going to work for Ray. Calling it now! #Emmerdale.”

Another declared: “Feel sorry for Sam! #emmerdale”, whilst a third added: “Sam would be better off being one of Celia’s slaves. #Emmerdale.”

“Sam is going to find Ted E Bear isn’t he. #emmerdale”, questioned another viewer.
