Exposed: Why some Zatima characters always end up on my critique list

🎯 Tyler Perry’s Zatima | Do I Cherry-Pick Who I Criticize? Let’s Set the Record Straight

Okay, folks. This is a follow-up to my “Who the F Does Zachary Taylor Think He Is?” video. In that one, I went in on Zach for going behind Fatima’s back to set up a midwife consultation.

Now, let me be clear: I understood why Zach felt the way he did. After losing a baby with Karen, his fear of hospitals makes sense. But the way he handled it? Boneheaded, selfish, and unnecessary.

The Midwife Move vs. The Dr. Reed Dinner

Someone commented that fans were dragging Zach for the midwife stunt but defended Fatima when she invited Dr. Reed to dinner without telling him.

And you know what? That’s fair. Both moves were selfish.

Both are wrong, and I’ll call both out.

Why I Call Out Certain Characters

Some people accuse me of being biased: “You only drag Fatima,” or “You’re always on Zach.” Nah. If you’ve been around, you know I’ve gone in on everyone: Zach, Fatima, Karen, Andy, you name it.

The truth is simple:

  • If a character messes up in Season 2, I’ll say it.

  • If another character pulls the same stunt in Season 8, I’ll say it too.

  • If a character repeats behavior they already hated someone else doing? I’ll go in harder, because that shows zero growth.

This isn’t cherry-picking — it’s holding characters accountable.

The Real Frustration

What makes Zach’s midwife move worse is timing:

  • He’s seen what happens when people don’t communicate.

  • He hated when Fatima blindsided him before.

  • Yet, he turns around and does the same thing seasons later.

That’s regression, not growth — and I’m going to point that out every time.

The Bigger Picture

Look, I don’t bring personal bias into this. Even cast members have told me they appreciate me keeping it real, because sometimes the scripts themselves are frustrating. Tyler Perry’s writing doesn’t always give us consistent character development, so yes, there’s a lot of hypocrisy to unpack.

Bottom line:

  • Fatima was selfish with Dr. Reed.

  • Zach was selfish with the midwife.

  • Both should’ve communicated instead of making decisions solo.

Final Word

So, do I “pick and choose” who I criticize? No. I just call it like I see it, whether it’s Zach, Fatima, Karen, or anyone else.
