Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Ryan suggested the big episodes were a “well written ending” to the storyline. He also teased the fallout of the stunt, as John and Aaron’s fates remain unclear.
Asked about filming the dramatic stunt episodes, he rather interestingly said: “It was a great climax and a really well written ending to the story of this serial k.i.l.l.e.r in the village.” By ending, does this mean these episodes next week conclude the storyline?
He also shared details about what follows the stunt itself, and it’s not looking good for Robert. Ryan said, asked whether Robert realised the impact of John framing him would have: “Not at that moment no.
“There’s so much going on. All he’s thinking about is the love of his life who’s just fallen off a cliff. Thats Robert’s focus.” Teasing scenes at the hospital, with characters left facing a wait for news on Aaron’s condition, Ryan said this is the moment it all comes crashing down for his character.
He said: “Later in the hospital people start accusing Robert of John’s crimes. No one believes him. He could very well get sent down again.” Robert races to the cottage to “save the day” with his “primary focus being to protect Aaron.”
But it all takes a turn when a desperate John refuses to “lose”, and instead of confessing to his crimes he attacks Aaron. Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out who survives.
