Emmerdale’s Katie Hill rushed to hospital after painful injury during home renovation
EMMERDALE star Katie Hill was rushed to hospital after suffering a very painful injury while renovating her house.
The actress, who plays Sarah Dingle on the ITV soap, told fans that she injured herself after she stepped on a nail.
The soap star, 23, headed straight to A&E after the nasty accident, which meant her renovations were put on hold.
Katie took to social media to share an update, writing: “This may be a long shot but are there any nail techs in Leeds that could fit me in either tomorrow or Wednesday. Had to cancel my appointment today due to stepping on a nail and having to go to A&E, house renovation going well,” with a crying face emoji.
It’s been a busy time for Katie’s character Sarah in the Dales.
Emmerdale finally revealed Dr Todd’s killer – after the soap villain’s brutal and bloodied death.
The character – played by Caroline Harker – was seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood in an episode at the beginning of July.
Since then, Emmerdale viewers have been wondering who killed the vile doctor, and on Sunday’s episode they finally get their answer.
The episode saw Charity Dingle clash with Dr Todd once again about why she sexually assaulted her.
Todd threatened to sue Charity for slander and continued to refuse to acknowledge what she had done, before also threatening to tell Charity’s granddaughter Sarah Sugden that her daughter is not Jacob’s child.
This left Charity furious, and she pinned Todd to the sofa while pulling her hair before delivering an impassioned speech about who the real liar was.
However, the women didn’t realise that Sarah was stood in the doorway, and had heard her grandmother’s speech.
Making herself known, Sarah insisted to Charity that they need to go to the police about what the evil doctor did to her, but Charity insisted she’s already tried that.
Meanwhile Todd laughed and cruelly insisted Charity was lying, before a protective Sarah snapped and pushed her.
Dr Todd stumbled and fell, cracking her head on the corner of the table before landing motionless on the floor, as blood started to pool around her head.
The camera then panned back to a shell-shocked Sarah and Charity, who quickly start to realise what has just happened.
Last night alleged ex-copper Serena Sugden decided to drop in on Charity after confiding in Vanessa about her fears for her wellbeing.
In a bid to protect Sarah, Charity decided to take the fall and said she will tell the police that she was acting in self defence.
