Emmerdale’s Katie Hill in hospital dash with gruesome injury

Emmerdale’s Katie Hill suffered a nasty injury this week, resulting in her being admitted to hospital for treatment.

The actress, who is 23, is best known for playing Sarah Sugden in the ITV soap.

Away from life in the Emmerdale village, Katie is busy renovating her house.

Sadly, disaster struck for the actress in the middle of her DIY efforts, as she had to go to A&E after stepping on a nail.

Ouch!

Katie shared a picture on her Instagram Stories that confirmed she had taken a trip to her local emergency department.

As a result of being admitted to A&E, Katie missed her nail appointment. She posted a message on her social media platform, hoping to find another slot.

‘This may be a long shot but are there any nail techs in Leeds that could fit me in either tomorrow or Wednesday? Had to cancel my appointment today due to stepping on a nail and having to go to A&E, house renovation going well’, the star wrote beside a picture of her nails.

Katie uploaded another image later and wrote: ‘All sorted now  Thanks everyone who reached out, much appreciated’.

Life for Katie’s Emmerdale character Sarah continues to be as dramatic as ever.

Just a few days ago, Sarah walked in on a conversation happening between her gran Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and evil Doctor Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker).

Sarah pushed Dr Todd, which resulted in her falling, hitting her head and dying. Reeling in horror, Sarah and Charity found help from Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy), who assisted in creating a cover story for the police.

While the Dingles aren’t known for their strict adherence to the law, murder isn’t one of their routinely committed crimes, and, according to Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw, the fall out for both women is going to be seismic.

‘They are locked in a secret and that’s going to be long-lasting and going forward, that’s going to affect their relationship,’ she said.
