Emmerdale Vinny Dingle actor’s ‘best’ message to soap star mum

Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson sent his on-screen mum a birthday message as actress Lisa Riley celebrated turning 49 years old.
The actor joined Emmerdale in 2019 as Vinny Dingle when he arrived back in the village with mum, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley). He was heartbroken when he found out that Mandy wasn’t his biological mother and she adopted him from her cousin Tina Dingle who didn’t want to raise him.
During recent episodes, Vinny has been preparing to wed his fiancé Gabby Thomas whom he proposed to this year. As Gabby put herself and Sarah Sugden in danger while in the car after crash dieting, she’s yet to find out that Vinny has been second guessing his decision.
While developing a close friendship to newcomer Kammy Hadiq, Vinny misread the signals and leant in for a kiss. After a polite rejection from Kammy who has been trying to help him through it, Vinny has been struggling to come to terms with what this could mean.
Still determined to get married to Gabby but wondering if it’s the right decision, will the wedding go ahead?
Speaking at the British Soap Awards, Bradley teased: “It’s very exciting for Vinny. He’s questioning a lot of things in his life right now, but that’s all I can say…”
Lisa Riley who was stood by his side also confirmed: “Vinny’s got some really good stuff coming up!”
Taking to his Instagram story, Bradley posted a snap of Lisa Riley (Mandy Dingle) when she was dressed up on set for her wedding to Paddy Kirk.

He wrote: “@lisajaneriley Hope you’re having the best day” followed by a red heart emoji as he celebrated her birthday.
On turning 49 years old, Lisa wrote: “49 TODAY How did that happen-for a starter I still feel like I’m 26, and have no intention of making that mindset any different got the most beautiful day planned, having a party this afternoon, which is going to be gorgeous as we are away on holiday
“I wanted to thank my AL the most for making this extra special, as now for the next 365 days I will not stop saying ‘Oh my god I will be 50 next year'”.
The actress’ co-stars were quick to share their love, as Paula Lane commented: “Happy birthday beautiful I hope you have the best day xxx”
Shebz Miah also wrote: “Awww Happy Birthday Lise!! Just waiting for the 3 wick that @bradjakejohnson has ordered on behalf of us x”
