Emmerdale stars tease two surprise arrivals in Christmas Day episode
Emmerdale cast members Natalie J Robb and Eden Taylor-Draper have both teased two 'random guests' in the Christmas Day episode of the ITV soap this year amid new twists
We could see some unexpected characters on Emmerdale this Christmas according to two stars of the ITV soap.
Natale J Robb who plays Moira Dingle on the show teased “two surprise arrivals” will join her character and Cain Dingle this festive period. Similarly, Eden Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle Dingle, dropped a similar spoiler.
She teased some “random guests” would show up at Christmas, while remaining coy over the details. Nothing gave away who they were referring to, but fans will no doubt wonder if there’s returns or the cards, or a twist with the Dingles.
Natalie shared of the big episode: “This Christmas Moira, Cain and the family are all going to be together. So it’s lovely as for once the family is together for Christmas Day.
“In fact we have two surprise Christmas arrivals to add to the mix and there are some quite amusing scenes where one of them tries to get Cain to dance. It is fun and there is nice family stuff going on so I hope people enjoy it.”
Teasing a similar plot, Eden shared: “Christmas is a random one for the Dingles this year and I don’t think Belle ends up spending Christmas which is also of course her birthday with people she expected to spend Christmas with. She spends it with Sam and Lydia but are there some random late comers…”
Natalie says it’s a joy to film the Christmas episodes though. She said: “Yeah, I do as the days always have a fun atmosphere and even though it‘s October the crew are often looking very festive.”
As for Eden, she loves filming for the soap’s Christmas episodes. She shared: “I love filming Christmas on the show. It’s so fun. It’s like celebrating Christmas with your friends before everyone else and I feel a bit giddy.
“It’s fun on the set and the Dingle decorations are just so ridiculous too. I think in some ways it’s so lovely and it’s just nice to film it and then you know that at Christmas there are families that enjoy catching up together watching the soaps – I know that is what my mum and dad like to do.”
It’s then that Eden teased New Year on the show, with “exciting” things to come. She said, not giving anything away: “I am looking forward to what is coming up for me in the New Year, I think there is some good stuff.
“I’ve been chatting to a few people and I’ve heard some things so I’m excited. I think it’s going to be really nice.” Viewers will have to stay tuned to see who the mystery guests are!
