Emmerdale spoilers: Robert accused, Joe revenge plan and Charity and Cain twist
Emmerdale spoilers for next week tease a new blackmail twist for Robert Sugden and Joe Tate, as well as revenge and a surprising moment for Charity and Cain Dingle
There’s so much drama on Emmerdale next week, as the Sugdens, Dingles and Tates take centre stage once more.
The latest twists on the farm evolve, as Joe Tate’s master plan continues with him also targeting Robert Sugden once more. Joe has been using Robert to get at the Dingles, after blackmailing Robert over John Sugden’s death.
After getting his hands on the Sugden land and then Moira Dingle’s farm, Butlers, Joe is now making his agenda clear. Having named Robert the tenant farmer of Butlers, with Cain and his family booted out, Joe is once again targeting Robert and his partner Aaron Dingle next week.
Elsewhere, Cain Dingle, struggling amid his wife Moira’s imprisonment and his cancer diagnosis, is eager to get a Dingle farm launched to get back at Joe. Robert and Aaron are caught in the middle, and Joe takes advantage of that next week.
Our soap insider reveals: “Joe tells Aaron and Robert he’s selling the farm cattle herd next week, but this wasn’t something in their lease or that had been agreed. He’s already back to his blackmailing tactics, making it clear to Robert he isn’t free just yet, and he can do whatever he likes.”
Robert is left with no choice but to let Joe sell the cattle, but when Mack Boyd and Matty Barton find out Joe’s plan, they tell all to the Dingles and plan to help Sam and Cain with their own farm plans. Some money issues mean they can’t afford their own cattle though, and Cain’s devastated, before more news sends him into a rage.
“With Mack dropping the news about the high prices of new cattle and Sam forgetting his meeting about the farm machinery they need, Cain erupts and declares his dreams to start again with the farm are over,” our insider reveals. “It’s another blow for Cain with everything else he’s going through.”
Soon someone takes action though, stealing the Butlers herd before Joe can sell them. Robert faces the blame but it’s clear to Joe that someone else has taken them.
Our insider says: “Robert is blindsided by the theft, and when Joe accuses him of being behind it he protests his innocence. Joe and Graham head out to find who really took the herd, but when the Dingles smugly deny being involved, Joe is sure he has his thieves.
“He sets out to expose them, but what he’s not anticipating is being stopped in his tracks by a Dingle decoy.” Elsewhere, Charity vows to get to the bottom of Cain’s behaviour after the family recently found out his diagnosis.
With him lashing out at everyone, Charity presses him to explain what’s going on, and it soon leads to an unexpected moment. Our insider says: “Cain is blowing up constantly, but still hiding the latest with his diagnosis.
“As he hits the bottle, Charity begs him to take care of himself and as she tries to get him to reveal what’s going on, he does open up. But as he tries to keep distracted and continues to hit rock bottom, he makes a move on her as they are reminiscing about the past. Charity realises what’s going on though and senses his turmoil, and she’s desperate to help him through.”
