Charity bravely reports Dr Todd’s blackmail crime to the police on Emmerdale next week – but soon feels regret about her actions. Can she be persuaded to push for justice?
Newcomer Serena makes an impression in the village, and while Kev is now back in the Dales, not everyone is happy about his return.

1. Charity reports Dr Todd’s evil deeds
Charity finally goes back to the police and tells them, that in addition to sexually assaulting her, the devious doctor Caitlin Todd also blackmailed her.

DS Reid says she will take a statement from Charity about the blackmail allegations, but advises her that the sexual assault will be treated as a separate incident.
2. Charity doubts herself for going to the police
After her meeting with DS Reid, Charity starts to feel doubt and dismay. She worries that stepping up and reporting the full extent of Todd’s wrongdoing may be all for nothing.
As she continues to reflect, Charity fears that in disclosing everything, she’s failed to protect Sarah, and that Todd won’t ultimately face justice over the sexual assault in particular.
3. Mack is still concerned about Charity
After learning about everything that Charity has been through in the last few months, Mack is worried that she’s trying to be too brave.
His concern deepens when Charity insists on putting others first to attend baby Leyla’s christening.
4. Serena gives Charity some encouragement
Newcomer Serena has a chat with Charity, who’s still doubting whether she did the right thing in reporting Dr Todd to the police.
Serena encourages her that her bravery will be worth it, and their conversation leaves Charity more determined than ever to see Todd get her comeuppance.
5. Sarah is suspicious of Serena
Sarah is still getting to know her newly-arrived relative, Serena. But when Serena shares that she knows about John’s murderous ways, Sarah feels alarmed.
Later, Sarah finds out that Serena doesn’t have a permanent home at the moment and is living out of her car, so invites her to stay for a night.
6. Serena’s arrival draws more intrigue
While Serena is new to the area, her arrival has an impact on another villager.
Kev is left wondering why he recognises Serena – where does he know her from?
7. Claudette is delighted by Kev’s return
Claudette is pleased to see that Kev’s back in the village. She offers him a place to stay, but notices that he seems to be feeling low.
Confiding in Claudette and Charles, Kev tells them that he’s Lewis’s dad, and is upset because his son doesn’t want him in his life. He begins to wonder if he should stick around in the village after all.
Claudette talks Kev out of running away, telling him he is a good man and deserves to rebuild his family ties. She encourages him to make amends with Lewis.
8. Nicola’s not pleased to see Kev
However, when Nicola finds out that Kev has been using the sinks in the café toilets to get water to clean his trailer, she’s not happy at all.
Of course, Nicola had previously demanded that Kev should tell Lewis that he is his father – or leave him, and the village, behind.
Later, Nicola resolves to get Kev to leave again – for good, this time. But following our recent exclusive on a twist in this storyline, could she have a change of heart down the line?
9. Kev and Robert agree to divorce
Kev’s return sees him starting to make some amends elsewhere, as he suggests to Robert that they should get their divorce moving.
Robert is pleased to hear this, as he looks to the future with Aaron…
10. Cain gets a shock from Graham
When Lydia tells Cain that Kyle has one of Graham’s old Army watches, he’s confused and concerned about why.
And there’s a big shock for Cain when he goes to speak to Graham – who admits to him that Kyle is responsible for the arson incidents at Emmerdale Farm that have caused so much concern.
11. Cain confronts Kyle about his secret
Cain is angry that Kyle confided in Graham about setting the fires at the farm rather than him, especially with the other troubles going on in his life.
Will Kyle tell his dad the truth when Cain asks if Graham’s claim about the crimes is true?
12. A crime is committed in the Dales
Emmerdale is setting up a big crime mystery next week – although details so far are scarce.
We flash forward to a crime scene, and briefly see the victim when a flash photograph is taken of them. What has happened, and who has been impacted?
