Later on, Chloe’s criminal father, Damon, took Mack hostage and whilst attempting to seize the weapon from Damon to rescue Mack, Charity accidentally shot and k.i.l.l.e.d Damon.

Once police turned up, Chloe informed Mack that she would tell them that Charity shot Damon in self-defence, on condition he relinquishes custody of Reuben and allows her to relocate to France.

Though initially hesitant, Mack ultimately agreed to let Reuben go for Charity’s benefit and Chloe subsequently departed the village with Reuben, leaving Mack heartbroken over losing his son. The pair were last featured on Emmerdale in 2023.
