An unexpected romance has blossomed between an unlikely pair in the Emmerdale village.
Viewers tuning into the episode on Tuesday, 3 March, available on ITV X, were taken aback when two unexpected villagers decided to embark on a romantic relationship.
Soap fans will remember that last year, Jai Sharma and Kerry Wyatt had a clandestine work affair. However, they soon decided to end things as it was interfering with their professional lives.
Since then, Kerry has wed Eric Pollard in a tax scam. With a romance seemingly off the table for the pair, Tuesday’s episode took an unexpected turn.

In the latest episode, Jai was seen in Café Main Street, having lost an item, when Kerry walked in. Nicola King teased her for eyeing up Jai, but Kerry quickly dismissed her comments.
However, back at work later, it seemed that Kerry was indeed checking out Jai. After Jai called Kerry into his office for making fun of him, she claimed she was merely demonstrating the perfect way to lift boxes, offering to show him again in a flirtatious manner.
Kerry then confessed: “I was checking you out in the café earlier, so… it’s only fair that you do the same!” to which Jai replied: “So that is what you were doing..”

After Kerry said “I saw you looking at us so we’re quits now, yeah”, Jai pulled her into a passionate embrace.
In spoilers for later in the week, it’s disclosed that Jai and Kerry are relishing their clandestine workplace affair.
Yet, despite the physical excitement they’re experiencing, Jai remains uncertain about how to balance their professional relationship in front of colleagues.
Meanwhile, Kerry seems to have worked out the ideal approach to managing their office liaison, as she ridicules Jai publicly to quash any speculation whilst privately anticipating their next encounter. But will Jai be comfortable with this arrangement?
And as the week concludes… there’s a close call for Jai and Kerry!
