Emmerdale pulled from regular slot in ITV shake-up
Emmerdale fans will be impacted by an ITV scheduling shake-up this evening as tonight's episode has been moved

Emmerdale fans tuning in to see if evil John Sugden (played by Oliver Farnworth) has managed to flee the Yorkshire Dales with the help of Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) should know the instalment has been moved this evening (Tuesday, September 23). Tonight’s episode will air at 7pm rather than the soap’s usual time of 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX. This is to make way for live football, as the Liverpool vs. Southampton EFL Cup match kicks off at 8pm on ITV. Luckily, Emmerdale viewers don’t have to fret too much as it’s just tonight’s episode, which has been impacted by sports coverage.

For the rest of the week, the show will air at 7.30pm, with an hour-long episode airing as usual from 7.30pm on Thursday.
Tonight’s episode is also available to stream on ITVX for those wanting to check it out before it’s broadcast.
In upcoming scenes, a mystery man will arrive in Emmerdale, and no one has more questions than Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins). Last week, viewers saw Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) receive a mystery text, and next week, a mysterious figure will be in the village asking for directions.
When he finds what he is searching for, it’s quite the shock. Robert’s left too gobsmacked to answer the door when the familiar face knocks – but who is this enigma from the past?
After checking that the coast is clear, Robert sheepishly lets the mystery figure inside, and viewers will soon learn he’s an acquaintance from prison.
However, when his sister Victoria catches Robert hand in hand with a man who isn’t his husband, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), she’s left baffled.
Robert knows instantly he’s in for a round of intense questioning from Victoria.
Emmerdale usually airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
