Emmerdale k.i.l.l.e.r John’s fate ‘sealed’ after d.e.a.d.l.y gun showdown with Cain Dingle
Emmerdale aired dramatic scenes on Tuesday as a gun was fired during a revenge showdown between Cain Dingle, Caleb Miligan and John Sugden as k.i.l.l.e.r John was set up
John Sugden’s fate was left unknown on Emmerdale on Tuesday night, after a d.e.a.d.l.y showdown with Cain Dingle.
Just as it seemed Caleb Miligan was helping k.i.l.l.e.r John escape, after being blackmailed over Anthony Fox’s m.u.r.d.e.r, Cain appeared. John looked rattled as Cain appeared, wanting to avenge his son Nate Robinson’s d.e.a.t.h at the hands of John.
Caleb was nervous about his brother Cain’s plan, with Cain wielding a shotgun. It got to the point that John was stood in a large hole in the woods, which Cain had made clear would be his own grave.
John cruelly taunted Cain about Nate’s final moments, leaving him heartbroken and guilty. So when things reached a point that saw John try to escape, Cain claimed he’d made his final mistake.
Cain refused to allow John freedom, after he threatened him and Caleb about exposing Anthony’s m.u.r.d.e.r at the hands of Caleb’s wife Ruby Miligan. John claimed he had scheduled an email to the police detailing his d.e.a.t.h and the cover-up, and who was involved.
Caleb feared John wasn’t lying and questioned if he needed to let John flee, but Cain was desperate to have him sent to prison to face justice. As the brothers bickered over what to do, John took his moment and grabbed a rock, before climbing out of the hole.
But Cain saw him and knew what he was planning, quickly pointing the shotgun at him causing John to freeze on the spot. Cain then told John: “That’s the last mistake you are ever going to make.”
As the camera cut away from the trio and focused on the woodland exterior, suddenly a gunshot was heard. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, but with John leaving the show does this mean Cain has k.i.l.l.e.d him?
Taking to X, fans were divided with some convinced the only conclusion was John’s demise. Others were convinced it had to be a red herring and that John would be alive, not believing Cain would k.i.l.l..
One fan posted: “Cain k.i.l.l.i.n.g John would actually be one of the best shocks in soap history imo.” Another asked: “HOLY S**T. DID CAIN JUST SHOOT HIM?!”
A third fan posted: “It’s the end of John omg,” as a fourth queried: “Will Johnny boy be Cain’s first k.i.l.l.?.?” Another fan said: “Honestly, Cain was due for a good m.u.r.d.e.r.”
Disagreeing, a viewer said: “Mark this tweet, he is going on a run and will come back for Robron next year.” Another said: “John is clearly not d.e.a.d.”
A further tweet said: “Today’s episode was so good, but I do hope John gets a showdown with Aaron and with Robert, separately. I think there’s a lot that needs to be said.”
