Emmerdale fans’ rage as show stripped from ITV schedule

ITV Emmerdale fans have been left in the dark about the fate of three key characters for another night in a row – as football trumps the beloved programme on the ITV schedule.

Last night, fans watched in horror as the John Barton and Mackenzie Boyd saga ended with Aaron Dingle as collateral. Mackenzie was left to decide his own fate after being offered a vile of poison by John while Robert watched in shock as John later tackled Aaron over the side of a cliff.

With Mack left alone, wielding the lethal needle and the last shots of Monday’s episode showing both John and Aaron unconscious under the cliff edge, it’s anyone’s guess as to which of the trio will make it out alive.

Fans want answers – but they won’t be coming tonight. Instead, the World Cup qualifier between Serbia and England have nabbed Emmerdale’s usual TV Spot.

Angry fans took to ‘X’ to share their fury at being forced to wait another night for answers. Taking to X, @Rae_Doherty_93 said: “Well, the England game being on and not Emmerdale has ruined my mood.” Meanwhile, @Pats990 said: “What a cliffhanger… Ruddy Football.”

Others were equally “fuming”. @Matt528chap said: “Good evening and welcome to….. OH a Football match and not Emmerdale and after that cliffhanger last night! See you all tomorrow for the midweek Emmerdale.”

Fans even suggested the footie should be available on a different channel. @JEMMA_MC86 said, ” There will be no Emmerdale tonight because England are playing—we should just stick them on another channel.”

Luckily, fans will be reassured to know that the conclusion to the nail-biting cliffhanger – pun intended – will be aired tomorrow at 7:30 pm.
