Emmerdale fans fume ‘letter to Ofcom’ over John Sugden’s k.i.l.l and it’s not Mack
Emmerdale fans have been left outraged after John Sugden took matters into his own hands in the latest episode of the ITV soap.
Viewers of Emmerdale were left feeling disgruntled after Monday’s episode of the popular ITV soap.
The latest episode, which recently saw fans speculating about a potential alliance between two villagers against a notorious Dales antagonist, saw John Sugden (played by Oliver Farnworth) enjoying his holiday with spouse Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
In a recent turn of events, John took matters into his own hands, hunting down Mackenzie Boyd (portrayed by Lawrence Robb) in the woods and striking him with a bow and arrow.
While it initially appeared that Mack had escaped, he was later discovered with a rock dropped on him, leading many to fear that the village resident may have met his end.
However, it was John’s actions in Monday’s episode that truly ruffled feathers among the audience.
The episode opened with the soap baddie in the woods, bow and arrow in hand, targeting a herd of deer, reports Belfast Live.
Upon making a noise, the deer scattered, with John refraining from shooting any of them. This restraint, however, didn’t last long.
After a chat with his husband about perceived weakness, John’s next hunting trip saw him unhesitatingly take down a deer.
While the fatal shot wasn’t explicitly shown, it was suggested that he had k.i.l.l.e.d the animal as the camera mimicked a fall, and John set down his bow, a self-satisfied grin spread across his face.
However, it didn’t take long for viewers to express their outrage on X, with many fuming over the unfolding events.
One viewer remarked: “Ofcom are about to have a lot of complaints.”
Another exclaimed: “No way has John k.i.l.l.e.d a deer that’s sick!!! A third chimed in: “I think Ofcom might have a few complaints from John k.i.l.l.i.n.g a dear!”
While another shared: “Now he’s k.i.l.l.i.n.g deer he’s got to go.”One viewer commented: “Letter to Ofcom on its way” While someone else criticised: “Did we really need part-time Robin Hood pointing an arrow at a herd of deer? That’s just sick.”
Despite Mack being presumed d.e.a.d, a number of viewers suspect he’s still alive and held captive.
With John now demonstrating his ability to k.i.l.l a deer, will he ultimately seal Mack’s fate if he is indeed alive?
