Emmerdale fans convinced over John Sugden’s ‘real identity’ ahead of downfall
Emmerdale fans think they've worked out something John Sugden is hiding from everyone, including fans of the ITV soap, ahead of his dark crimes being exposed in the village

Fans of Emmerdale are certain that villain John Sugden isn’t who he claims to be. Despite scenes appearing to state he is in fact John, the secret son of Jack Sugden, some viewers are more sure than ever that he’s harbouring who he really is.
John is still hiding his many crimes including the m.u.r.d.e.r of Nate Robinson, while only his brother Robert Sugden is onto him. But ahead of an inevitable downfall for the baddie, while nothing has been confirmed, fans are sure as part of his comeuppance we may learn “who he really is”.
It comes as fans speculated he could be someone else linked to the Sugdens, and he might be targeting them. Fans cannot shift the theory that John has faked his identity and is an impostor.

Now a new identity theory has been speculated amid fans still wondering who he might be if it did turn out he wasn’t John. A theory shared by a couple of fans more recently is that John could actually be a secret White relative seeking payback.
Fans will remember Robert betrayed wife Chrissie White by having an affair with Aaron Dingle, who happens to be John’s new husband. Robert targeted Chrissie’s dad Lawrence too, while he was also somewhat of an enemy of serial k.i.l.l.e.r Lachlan White.
The Whites hated Aaron too over the fling and them then getting together. Some fans have wondered if John is actually a member of the White family, taking aim at Robert and maybe Aaron too.
A fan said: “John is a White and will be discovered but will put all the village in danger.” A fan responded to this saying: “I like the White theory.” Other fans guessed an identity twist was on the cards.

A viewer said: “I think John isn’t a Sugden, that maybe he served with the real John Sugden who d.i.e.d & stole his identity.” Another added: “Who is John, now it is clear that he is not a Sugden?”
A further post read: “I think this will all conclude during Super Soap Week. Also, I don’t think it’ll happen but I would love it if the big twist is that John isn’t really a Sugden.”
As it stands it seems this isn’t a twist planned by the soap, and John really is John Sugden. Someone from his past, two people in fact, who have nothing to do with the village knew him as John in scenes weeks ago, and Jack really did have a secret son.
