There’s concern for a ‘missing’ Emmerdale after a recent development on the ITV soap.
DS Walsh was seen uncovering Ray Walters’ body at the depot this week, before investigating the m.u.r.d.e.r. Not only that, but she’s questioned Moira Dingle about missing Celia Daniels’ dodgy dealings.
With Moira accused of being involved after being set-up by Joe Tate, with the reluctant help of Robert Sugden, she fears for her future. Amid the accusations of drug dealing and human trafficking, detective Walsh has caused plenty of drama in the village.
But as she continues to make her presence known, fans are concerned about a different character who appears to have vanished. Only weeks ago, a different detective was on the scene and helping Maron Dingle, amid her trying to uncover Ray’s crimes.

DS Carter had encouraged April Windsor to speak out about Ray, but with this going nowhere she advised her father Marlon Dingle to act as normal. The plan was for the police to secretly keep an eye on things until they were able to get the evidence and witnesses they needed to bring Ray down.
We’d seen her questioning Ray in the village at one point too, while she insisted to Marlon they could not step in just yet. Since Ray’s d.e.a.t.h though and the investigation into him and Celia, she has not returned.
Instead, DS Walsh has taken over and replaced her in the investigation. Fans are now questioning if DS Carter is missing, and maybe something has happened to her after she got too close to the truth, as other fans wondered if she was dodgy and has gone into hiding.
One fan said online: “Talking of the Emmerdale police I can’t stop thinking that the detective they brought in DS Carter (the one that kept sending Marlon away saying to just keep up the act and her hands are tied until they gather more evidence) was a bent cop on Celia and Rays payroll.

“Because it’s funny how she’s gone quiet and vanished, not in any of the more recent scenes with the search, investigation and questioning of Moira, and she would know that Moira is completely innocent and had zero involvement. Or maybe it’s just my over tired overthinking mind that’s seeing something that’s not there.”
Another fan wrote: “I did think it was a bit weird that she was so involved with the Ray stuff and we were seeing her more and more and then suddenly she vanished. Either it’s just a different investigation or she might be a dodgy cop.”
A third fan said: “I reckon she could be on Joe’s rather than Celia’s.” A fourth added: “I wonder if she was onto Ray and he got rid of her. Don’t forget, he was brought up by the most ruthless woman to ever grace the countryside so he’d probably have thought nothing of bumping her off, and maybe Celia demanded it…”
