Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ for icon after 22 years and Chas Dingle will be fuming
Emmerdale viewers are fearing one iconic villager will be stitched up for a crime they didn't commit.
Emmerdale has teased Kev Townsend’s exit after he recently committed an armed robbery, but viewers don’t think he will be sent to prison.
As fans of the ITV soap will know, Kev (Chris Coghill) rolled up to the village wanting to rekindle his romance with husband Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). It soon transpired that the couple were not meant to be as Robert kick-started a secret romance with ex-husband Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Kev has let Robert believe he is wealthy and also dying from a terminal health condition in a bid to try and keep him around. The ex-convict also committed an armed robbery to keep his cash afloat and give Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) money to help with their farming business.
On Tuesday (November 25), Robert and Aaron conjured up a plan to turn Kev in to the police and get him sent back to prison so they can live as a couple, and in peace.
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) caught her son Aaron and Robert together and warned the pair that they are in danger if Kev catches them.
Robert soon confessed they are back together and told Chas about their scheme to shop Kev to the police. But Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) soon interrupted their conversation with worrying news.
The doctor admitted that Kev had tricked him into being his getaway driver after the robbery, and he will also be charged if Kev is turned in to the police.
Liam also delivered the bombshell that Kev’s condition wasn’t terminal and he isn’t dying. The news left Aaron stunned, while Robert was reeling.
In a bid to find Kev’s secret stash of cash and stolen goods, Aaron soon began following him around the village and watched as he headed into the church.
It was revealed that Kev was hiding the stolen goods inside the church, and Aaron instantly realised there was enough evidence to prove Kev was guilty.
However, eagle-eyed Emmerdale fans soon pointed out that Aaron had now touched the stolen goods without wearing gloves and could now be a suspect in the armed robbery. Will Kev blame Aaron for the crime and have him sent down?
Taking to X, one person wrote: “#Emmerdale yes Aaron put your fingerprints all over bag (shocked face).”
A second stated: “As if you’d root through a bag of SWAG with your bare hands ffs #Emmerdale.”
A third chimed in: “Would be hilarious if Aaron gets done for it #Emmerdale (laughing face).”
While one fan asked: “AARON WHY DID YOU TOUCH IT? #Emmerdale.”
“So that makes Aaron’s fingerprints on Kev’s loot. And Robert already touched it when he found out. They really are stupid #emmerdale,” pointed out another.
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
